DOYLESTOWN, PA – C&N, a leading financial services company across Pennsylvania and New York, recently donated $20,000 to YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties under the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC).
YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties is a charitable, nonprofit organization committed to strengthening its communities through membership and programs that foster youth development, healthy living and social responsibility for all.
This donation will be used for pre-K programs for children ages two through kindergarten who are from low to moderate income families and served at one of six YMCA child care locations in Bucks County: Fairless Hills, Morrisville, Quakertown, New Britain, Newtown & New Hope-Solebury. YMCA pre-K programs focus on kindergarten readiness by engaging young children in exciting learning activities throughout the day. These programs use a curriculum that is in line with their school district partners. “We truly appreciate this generous donation,” commented Debbie Sontupe, Chief Development Officer of YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties. “Support from community partners, like C&N, are critical to our ability to provide high quality care and preschool instruction that nurtures children as they learn, grow and thrive.”
On hand to present the check and represent C&N were Blair T. Rush, President of C&N’s Southeast Region & Robert Loughery, C&N Board Member. Mr. Rush commented, “C&N is proud to support YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties through these important pre-K programs that foster the development of the early foundation of learning for young children in the community”.
