DOYLESTOWN, PA – C&N, a leading financial services company across Pennsylvania and New York, is pleased to announce a donation in the amount of $10,000 to the Bucks County Opportunity Council through the Neighborhood Assistance Program.
For over 55 years, the Bucks County Opportunity Council has served low income families in Bucks County by helping them to stabilize when in crisis, garner resources to achieve a livable wage, gain additional education and training, and work towards economic self-sufficiency.
C&N’s donation will support the Opportunity Council’s Economic Self Sufficiency Program. The funds will be used to pay for a bilingual Economic Self-Sufficiency coach who has been hired to work with 25 new families in the Warminster area. This coach is uniquely qualified to work with the Hispanic population. BCOC expects the 25 participant families will make progress towards self-sufficiency that will be demonstrated by increased income, improved skills and a more balanced budget. “We are grateful for C&N’s continued partnership in our work,” Erin Lukoss, Executive Director/CEO stated. “This donation affords BCOC the valuable resource of a bilingual coach to reach our Latino community members and help them achieve economic self-sufficiency.”
M. William Kadri, VP/Regional Personal Banking Manager & Alayna Lopez, Business Banking Specialist were on hand to represent C&N and present the check. Will Kadri commented “The path to self-sufficiency is unique to each individual and it’s important we support organizations who recognize this. The BCOC is providing solutions to these complex challenges and empowering those in need to achieve long-term stability. The C&N team is proud to be a sponsor and we look forward to volunteer opportunities where we can partner to create a positive impact on the Bucks County community.”
