LYCOMING COUNTY – C&N recently welcomed Vanessa Van Kirk as a Mortgage Loan Originator, succeeding longtime Regional Mortgage Loan Originator Linda Gordner, who is retiring after 23 years of dedicated service with C&N.

Linda Gordner has been an integral part of C&N, bringing over 50 years of banking experience to her role, including more than two decades at C&N. Based in the Muncy branch, she has helped countless clients navigate homeownership, assisting with home purchases, refinances, new construction, and land loans. Her deep knowledge, commitment to customer service, and passion for community involvement have made her a trusted advisor to many. Linda has also been actively involved in Giving Back, Giving Together, C&N’s signature philanthropic initiative, and has served as the secretary for Pine Township, Columbia County for 40 years.

“Linda’s dedication, expertise, and unwavering commitment to her clients and community have left an incredible impact on C&N,” said Stacey Sickler, SVP & Director of Residential Mortgage Lending. “She has been more than a mortgage lender—she has been a trusted partner to so many families in the region. While we will certainly miss her, we are incredibly grateful for her years of service and wish her nothing but happiness in her well-earned retirement.”

Stepping into this important role, Vanessa Van Kirk brings a strong background in banking and lending, having worked in various financial positions since 2008. She began her career as a teller before advancing into underwriting and loan processing, eventually becoming a Loan Processing Supervisor and later a Loan Administrative Assistant. Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Lycoming College and a Master’s Degree in Child & Adolescent Developmental Psychology from National University. Her experience in loan processing, customer service, and financial operations makes her a natural fit for the role.

“We are thrilled to welcome Vanessa to C&N,” added Sickler. “Her extensive experience in lending, attention to detail, and dedication to customer service make her an excellent addition to our mortgage team. We are confident she will continue the legacy of excellence that Linda has established.”

Vanessa, a resident of Muncy, is an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Muncy Area. Outside of work, she enjoys life on her family farm, where she cares for horses, ponies, a mini donkey, ducks, cattle, and even a domestic deer. An avid reader and crochet enthusiast, she also cherishes her time at the beach.

As Vanessa transitions into her new role, C&N extends its deepest gratitude to Linda Gordner for her years of service and dedication. Linda has played an essential role in supporting customers and fostering strong community relationships. We wish her a joyful and well-deserved retirement filled with golf, beach trips, and time with her beloved grandchildren.
